This client needed a fresh start after some major life changes. As a young professional, she was ready to define her own style and live in a grown-up space. Her love of peacocks inspired the color palette for her living room. We were able to pull of a completely transformed space with a limited budget and she has been so happy with the results.
First, let’s see some photos of the space BEFORE we got started:
Here was the plan we came up with:
And here are the AFTER photos!
We found in a beautiful rug that was a much better size for the room, and had the entire space painted a crisp white. We added a level of drama and contrast by painting the fireplace and patio doors black. We had custom drapes made for the large windows and filled out the room with great accessories that made the space come alive.
This family lives in a quirky 1970’s house that is full of charm and challenges. They had family from overseas coming to stay for a few weeks and needed this open space to act as a playroom for the kids and an extra sleeping and lounging areas for her guests.

We removed the outdated carpet, painted the walls, trim, ceiling, and cabinets, replaced the ceiling fan, stained new concrete floors, rebuilt one of the cabinets to accommodate a larger TV, and brought in all new furniture and accessories to make the space extremely functional.
My client had an seldom used space that she wanted to convert into a sitting room for her family to enjoy, centered around their piano.

This client already had some great pieces, like the chest, mirrors, and ghost chair, so we simply fleshed out the space by bringing in a few pieces. The comfortable club chairs are great for lounging by the windows and the coffee table is perfect for her children to gather around for games. The rug grounds the space and pulls the color palette together while the pouf is great for extra seating or as an ottoman.
